Waterloo 2017 - Day Two Results

Favourite’s crash on manic Monday

The last 32 were underway today and the morning saw a few favourite’s leave the competition. Callum Wraight and the 2015 winner, Greg Smith narrowly lost out in draws that went right down to the deciding point, leaving Steve Baskerville and Andy Thornton to move forward in the contest.

Three times champion Simon “Golden” Coupe didn’t disappoint in his match against Billy Speed, beating him 21.12. “When I saw that two of the big favourites from my half had gone I didn’t really think about that as I knew I had to Beat Billy Speed to possibly set up a game with Welsh County No 12 Andy Hughes and that is going to be a tough game,”

Afternoon brought more action, including a win from the favourite from the bottom half, Wayne Ditchfield. “They are all tough games as this stage,” said Ditchfield “You can’t take anyone for granted.”

Tuesday will see the final 16 battle it out. The full results are below.
