Waterloo 2017 - Day One Results

Last 64 treats at Co op Funeralcare Waterloo Men's Handicap

The bright sun in Blackpool was enhanced by the bowls on display by some of the last 64 in the Co op Funeralcare Men's Autumn Handicap at the Waterloo in Blackpool.

There were fantastic performances in the morning from Mr "showman" Callum Wraight, bookie favourite Greg Smith, and three times Waterloo Champion, Simon Coupe.

The afternoon games showcased one of the greats, Glynn Cookson, along with impressive form from “The Beast” Wayne Ditchfield (photo).

The first big upset of the tournament came when one of the events big favourites, GI Wilson, was knocked out by Lee Heaton in what was billed as the toughest of the last 64 draws.
