The Brownies have a Mexican sleepover
our Skipton team donated Co-op goodies
Do you remember being small, and that excited feeling running home from school to ask if you could stay over at your best friend’s house?
Or even better, were you part of the honorary Scouts or Brownies group and got to delight in a stop-over with ALL of your friends?
We nostalgically remember that excited feeling, meaning we were thrilled to hear about our Skipton funeral home colleagues helping the local Brownies enjoy their very first sleepover.
The girls aged between 7 and 10 went to their local church hall, for a sleepover expertly arranged to boost their confidence, independence and team building skills – for some of them it was their first time staying away from home, so it was a huge event!
To add to the fun, it was Mexican themed which is where Louise Bleasdale from our Skipton team came in, as she turned up with some yummy tortilla chips, dips, and lots of other sweet and savoury goodies for the girls to munch away on during their stay.
Well it wouldn’t be a sleepover without some junk food would it?
The night-in also managed to raise some money for two of the young leaders, who’ve been selected to represent North Yorkshire on a trip to Switzerland next year, to meet other members of the Guiding family.
We hope you all loved your team-building night, and good luck to the leaders for next year’s adventure!
