Quiz night in aid of the Brain Tumour Charity
In honour of local man
Our team at Crawley Funeralcare, Three Bridges were recently honoured to conduct the funeral of a well thought of pillar of their local community, who had passed away from a brain tumour.
His family have pledged to raise £8,000 for the Brain Tumour Charity over the next year to honour his memory. And as one of the first charity events our team arranged a quiz night at the local cricket club.
They charged admission, held a raffle of donated prizes and made home made cakes to sell at the interval to raise money for the cause. The quiz was very well attended and Co-op Funeralcare even put together a team, and came a very admirable second.
Over £700 was raised, which will be added to the families running total for the year. The team hope to be part of further events to support the cause, including supporting a 100km walk across the South Downs and a 24 hour Dance-a-thon.
Thanks goes to all the team for their help and support before the event and on the night, including Christine Richardson, Tom Sutton, Lucy Forbes-Reeve, Vicky Harvey-Cartmell and Cathy Gue.
