Lesley's skydive in memory of her nephew

she's raised an amazing £3,205

Going through tough times helps us to revel in the good, and often if we're feeling sad it inspires us to do something out of our comfort zone to pick us back up again.

This is what happened to Lesley Holding, Funeral Arranger from our Romford funeral home in Essex.

Last year, Lesley tragically and suddenly lost her 11 year old nephew Tyler to sepsis.

Tyler had special needs and his school, Newton's school in Rainham, were absolutely amazing with the help and support they gave him

To keep his memory alive and to thank the school for the exceptional care and love they'd shown over the years, Lesley daringly decided to do a skydive.

It was a bold ambition which she passed with flying colours (pictured), and smashed her fundraising target with an incredible £3,205.

The school were overwhelmed with her bravery and generosity, and asked the children what they'd like the money to be spent on.

Together they agreed on a friendship bench (aww!), a sheltered outdoor seating area, basketball nets, and awards, all of which will be with them soon.

Excellent choices from the children - we hope you enjoy your new equipment, and well done Lesley on making this happen for them, all in memory of Tyler.
