Funeral Arranger, Lynne Love, plays match-maker
she's helped 2 of her grieving clients find love
Lynne Love, Funeral Arranger from our Wickford funeral home in Essex, has helped two of her grieving clients find love and happiness.
Tom Lennon and his now wife Isabell, both arranged funerals through our Wickford funeral home when their respective partners passed away.
Afterwards they kept in touch with Funeral Arranger, Lynne, to let her know how they were getting on.
After meeting with each of them separately for a chat and a cuppa, Lynne realised that they were both feeling lonely and wanted some companionship.
Lynne thought they were the perfect match and approached Isabell, who agreed for her number to be passed on to Tom.
Six months later the pair were married – with Lynne receiving the honour of being chosen as a witness at the wedding!
The story has touched the hearts of the nation featuring on the BBC, Daily Mail and Daily Mirror websites, and the Daily Mirror newspaper and the Basildon Echo. Lynne has also been interviewed on BBC Radio Essex and featured on ITV’s 'Good Morning Britain' last Friday alongside Tom and Isabell.
We spoke to Lynne Love about her ‘Good Morning Britain’ experience, she said:
“They sent a car from me at 5.30am, luckily my daughter in-law had done my hair for me the night before. It’s not all as glamorous as you think, we arrived at the studio, was shown to the green room where we got a cup of tea in a cardboard cup and a Danish pastry. Then they slap a bit of make-up on you and on you go.
“It was an exciting day though, I wasn’t nervous really and once we got on air Tom started talking and his wife and I didn’t get much of a word in. Then we were finished and the car took us back home.
“It’s all been a really nice experience for me, I wasn’t expecting it and it’s something that would never happen to me again, it just all went a bit crazy but it’s settling down again now, it really was a lovely experience and a nice story.”
It’s not unusual for colleagues to stay in touch with clients and provide some additional support when faced with bereavement, and this an exceptional story demonstrating the incredible way colleagues can make a difference in the lives of our clients!
Thank you and well done Lynne!
