Dunfermline go retro!
colleagues arranged a retro games day
With today's love for games consoles, mobile phones and all things digital, it was a breath of fresh air to hear about our Dunfermline funeral home's recent 'retro football games'.
Going back to their classic game roots, Principle Funeral Director, Kenny McLachlan, along with Dunfermline Athletic Heritage Trust, "had a ball" organising the sports-filled afternoon.
The retro session allowed fans to re-live their childhood by playing table-top games such as Subbuteo, Blow Football, Striker, Bar Football and more.
There were master classes, mini leagues, a good spread to feed hungry tummies and as all competitive sportsmen would expect...trophies!
Enough money was raised to pay for all the games and the extra left over is going towards the Trust’s costs of taking two soldiers from the Army Personnel Recovery Unit, to Contalmaison in France, for the centenary of the start of the Battle of the Somme on 1st July.
What a brilliant idea - well done to the team!
