Charity walkers fed and watered on their hike

by our Shrewsbury and Sutton Farm colleagues

With the British weather finally cheering up, it's becoming the perfect time of year for taking part in outdoor activities - and charity walks and marathons are popular favourites.

Colleagues from our Shrewsbury and Sutton Farm funeral homes were keen to support their local hospice 'Severn Hospice' as local people embarked on a 17 mile hike to raise some money.

Instead of throwing on their trainers and sweat pants, the team instead decided to provide some much needed energy supplies to the 140 walkers.

The team found the ideal spot along the walker's route inside a local village hall. They were armed with hot and cold drinks and fruit to refresh the hiker's bodies and minds, and get them going for their next leg of the journey.

The hospice and walkers were so grateful for the teams' generosity and are looking forward to seeing them again soon for their 'Midnight Walk'.

Well done to the team for supporting at their time of need, and well done to the walkers on the 'Severn Stride'.
