Alison conquers Hadrian’s Wall

Raising funds for Cancer Research UK

On a beautifully clear June morning, Marketing Campaign Manager, Alison Keane, and hundreds of others set off on a challenging hike taking on 22 miles of Hadrian’s Wall.

From the ancient remains of Brocolitia Fort, through the rocky and steep Northumberland Country Park, then all the way to the stunning Lanercost Priory, this hike was not for the faint of heart.

Teamwork was the word of the day as Al joined a group of 56 women known as Roisin’s Rambling Army – together they have raised just over £15,000 for Cancer Research UK. Amazingly, Roisin herself was able to complete the trek despite having finished chemotherapy just two weeks prior.

Alison said, “What a fantastic day it was. Twenty two miles of gruesome climbs and descents but with beautiful views and the most gorgeous of people. It was an emotional rollercoaster along the way with plenty of blisters but well worth it.”

Congratulations to Alison and the whole team – you are an inspiration!
