A "Luvly Jubbly" funeral
arranged for a larger than life gentleman
Being able to inject personality into a loved one’s final farewell, can turn a sad occasion into one filled with pride and honour.
This was most certainly the case recently when we heard about a “Luvly Jubbly” funeral, arranged by our colleagues at Gateshead.
An Only Fools and Horses enthusiast with a cracking sense of humour sadly passed away – and his daughter was adamant for his wit to be recognised and celebrated as part of their goodbye.
A Del Boy Trotter hearse led the way, riding along to Morecambe and Wise's “Bring Me Sunshine”, which received a huge cheer and round of applause from all the attendees paying their respects.
Quirky orders of service, bespoke music in the family limousines, and lots of photographs graced the funeral too – conveying exactly what kind of character the gentleman had been in his life.
Our team looked after the family, and they looked after the team too - making sure they were as well fed, watered and involved in the celebration as everybody else that was there.
This is truly inspirational and we’re honoured to have been able to help make this day happen, for a man who sounds like he was the life and soul of the party.
