A day out for dementia patients

local care home residents were treated

Sometimes after meeting people for the first time, you realise almost instantly how special they are and that you'll be life-long friends.

This seems to be the case with the team from our Tonbridge funeral home in Kent, based on the lovely relationship they've built with the residents from their local care home...

After last year organising a day out for the residents of Chestnut Lodge Care and having such a great day, the team jumped at the chance to organise another trip to keep them feeling vibrant and happy.

This time it was a day trip to the seaside for the residents, sadly all of who have been diagnosed with dementia.

The mini bus arrived for them in the morning, with the newly rebuilt Eastbourne Pier as the destination!

After visiting the beautiful new pier, the group relaxed in the Lansdowne Hotel for a yummy afternoon tea, while basking in the sun.

The residents were so grateful and just like last time, everybody had a brilliant day.

Good work Tonbridge team - we look forward to hearing about your next adventure with the residents.
